“Friends Divide” by The Silent Comedy

The Silent Comedy is a beer & whiskey fueled Folk/rock band out of San Diego, Ca. Started by a couple of bar-tending brothers, Joshua and Jeremiah Zimmerman, this band has grown over immensely over the past several years. Coming from the ‘craft brew scene’ of Southern California and now reaching into soundtracks for shows like the history Channel’s “The Men Who Built America”, these guys are coming up big.

The Silent Comedy’s latest 6-song release “Friends Divide” is an organic feeling rhythmic rock album with multiple layers of flavor and flair. Track 1 “God Neon” gets you in the ‘heading to the pub’ vibe, a little something to get you going. The rest of the album is filled with a wide array of blended instrumentation and harmonies. This gives The Silent Comedy disc a unique, authentic feel as well as showcasing the bands ability to transform their influences and creativity into a one-off sound.

This is a great album; with that said, if you have an opportunity to see them live do it –they’re a blast! Ultimately you are the best judge of what you like so let us know what you think.

Thanks for reading (& listening), see you here next time!
