“A Temporary Human Experience” by Turning Virtue
Turning Virtue is a four-piece rhythmic rock group out of Buffalo, NY. Their April 8, 2016 release “A Temporary Human Experience” features one of the most prolific drummers on the planet, Mark Zonder (Google him if you don’t know who he is). The guitar work on several of the tracks reminds me of fellow New Yorker and guitar legend Steve Vai; smooth, intricate and powerful without that dueschy ‘look at me!’ vibe that’s so often present in mainstream rock albums.
It’s difficult to compare Turning Virtue to any one particular band as they have masterfully blended their influences into an authentic, original sound.
This nine-song album has multiple layers, great depth and yet rocks without ever feeling forced or manufactured, it just flows.
Ultimately, you are the best judge of what you like. Give it a listen and let us know what you think.
Thanks for reading (& listening), see you here next time!
